About WhatsApp
          WhatsApp is a globally popular messaging app owned by Meta, with over 2 billion users exchanging text and voice messages, making calls, and sharing various media. Its wide availability and language support make it a leader in connecting people worldwide.
Overview
          This project delivers a new branded iOS theme for WhatsApp that reflects the message service's identity using its iconic colors while still delivering a more modern interface.

User needs: Many iOS users prefer interface themes that align with their app's branding. This theme provides a cohesive experience for WhatsApp users.
Business goals: A branded theme can strengthen brand identity and increase user engagement. Businesses have a responsibility to keep their experience consistent.
Design trends: This design concept was validated when WhatsApp subsequently launched a strikingly similar iOS theme featuring their brand colors and new icon design.
Design Approach
          A key challenge was ensuring the new iOS theme seamlessly reflected WhatsApp's brand identity while maintaining a distinct iOS feel. This required carefully balancing color palettes and iconography to create a cohesive user experience across both platforms, especially considering Android's established branded theme.

Deliverables
          Significant time was spent updating brand aesthetics across all platforms. However, recognizing mobile as the primary platform, the redesign efforts were concentrated on the iOS app. Inspiration was drawn from Android’s design, carefully selecting iconography and typography that inherit the brand colors.

Conclusion
          In May 2024, WhatsApp launched updates to their iOS app, launching a theme that aligned with the very concept explored in this exercise. This serves as a testament to the growing importance of visual branding and brand consistency in today's mobile app landscape.
