A Closer Look
This project focused on creating a fresh, branded iOS theme for WhatsApp that aligns with its iconic green color scheme while modernizing the interface. The goal was to enhance brand consistency between iOS and Android apps, drawing inspiration from the existing Android theme. This involved carefully selecting typography and iconography that incorporated the brand colors and ensured a cohesive user experience across both platforms.
The redesign encompassed key screens like the loading screen, chats, settings, and community screens. Interestingly, WhatsApp later released an iOS update with a very similar theme in March 2024, validating the concept and highlighting the increasing importance of strong visual branding in app design.
